services at Harting

a message from the churchwarden

Worship at Harting generally conforms to the following pattern each month:

Every Sunday 8.00 am Eucharist (BCP)
1st Sunday 10.00 am Family Eucharist followed by coffee and chat.
2nd Sunday 6.00 pm Evensong
3rd Sunday 10.00 am Eucharist followed by coffee and chat
4th Sunday 6.00 pm Evensong (with Choral Evensong alternate months)
5th Sunday 10.00 am Matins
Weekday Services
Tuesday 8.00 am Morning Prayer and Intercessions
Wednesday 10.00 am Eucharist
Evening Prayer 5.00 pm Everyday except Monday and Wednesday

Baptisms normally take place, by arrangement, during the 10.00 am service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.

Our Eucharist services follow the Church of England form of Common Worship which includes the more modern form of the Eucharist / Holy Communion. Our Evensong services still follow the pattern set down in the Book of Common Prayer as included in Common Worship.

All are welcome to join us for Eucharist or Evensong services. We invite baptised members of all trinitarian Christian churches to take communion. If you do not take communion you are invited to participate in the service by approaching the altar to receive a blessing.

If any of the terminology I've used above seems exclusive or alien to you please don't let it put you off. Our services are intended to be open to all who want to share in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Use the contact details below if you wish to find out more.
